Law in Contemporary Society
I came to law school for the oft-cited reason of career flexibility. I had little idea about what I wanted to do with my life as my senior year of college began, and it seemed more practical to further my education than to begin upon a career path that I had no true passion for. While the utility of a law degree will be challenged in ways throughout this semester, the uselessness of a non-specific undergraduate degree is already apparent. There are many interesting paths a law degree from Columbia will allow, the real task is finding the right one.
