I grew up in a family of doctors and aspiring medical professionals, and was consequently surrounded by never-ending chatter involving the ins and outs of the health care system, which is what initially fueled my desire to practice law. My love of writing and verbiage reinforced this desire, when, to my surprise, I found myself enjoying the task of carving out a convincing argument for my English courses. I chose Columbia as a result of a combination of factors, mostly the desire to stay on the East coast and the infinite opportunities to which Columbia would open the door.
