My decision at a young age to become a lawyer was chiefly a product of my viewership of endless hours of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Thus, my career choice was initially guided by a farce. My personal introduction to the practice of law was in a similar vein. For seven years, I competed on my high school and college mock trial teams, switching fluidly from the role of a prosecutor to that of a defense attorney. Now, I am trying to reconcile this theater of law I have been exposed to with the reality of my impending future.
