I came to law school following vague notions of lawyers being the more important members of the NGOs I interned at, not really wanting to leave the academic environment just yet, intellectual curiosity, and the belief that at least a J.D. is a relatively well-priced hock. I’m curious to see what happens, too, whether over the course of the next semester and summer I can remember a single, persuasive answer for why I am in law school. But since I am already here, I just hope to achieve that ideal of engagement, learning, understanding, and becoming useful in some capacity.
