Like some who have already posted, my decision to come to law school was in many ways more about preserving options than choosing a specific life path. Throughout college I contemplated certain occupations including finance, academia, and the military. However, I soon realized that these were not careers in which I would be successful. On the other hand, the legal profession, as far as I can tell at this point, requires skills I believe I have or can develop. And, as it offers numerous avenues to a rewarding career, law school seemed like the best choice at the time.
